Lose Weight With Fat Calorie Formula!

Why do fat calorie percentages help with weight loss and what exactly are they? This is a pretty good question, as most people have no idea what a fat calorie percentage is.  I was unfamiliar with fat calories when I struggled with weight years ago.  It wasn't until 15 years ago that I found my weight loss solution.  Thanks to fat calorie percentages, 7 pregnancies later I am still the same size as I was in high school. 

Eating within a fat calorie percentage is the number one weight loss rule to follow if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off.  It's easy to lose a few pounds with fad diets, but keeping it off for life, usually means a lifestyle change.  The problem with diets is most people can't follow them for more than a few weeks.  Most diets are too strict, cut too many calories which eventually leads to frustration, starvation and binging.  We need calories and lots of them to have energy.  Cutting back on calories, means low energy and storage of fats! ~ The opposite of what you want!  Cutting calories is dyslexic thinking!  We have to change our thinking and know what kinds of calories will help us lose weight and speed our metabolism.

Eating within a fat calorie percentage allows you to eat, eat, and eat and still lose weight!  In my book, Livin' Slim ~Slim Your Fat!, I show why fat calorie percentages help you lose weight and why they are important and so effective when it come to weight loss.  Included are studies that show that eating within a fat calorie percentage of 10%-24% is effective in not only weight loss, but often reduces cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels and even alzheimer's. 

Anyone can lose weight on juice diets, protein diets, low-carb diets, but are these diets healthy?  No!  Even chemo can cause weight loss.  Remember, "The only healthy weight loss solutions is one you can eat for the rest of your life and still be healthy." 
We want healthy don't we?

It doesn't matter if you are a vegan, vegetarian, a raw-foodist or a meat eater.  If you are eating too many of your calories from fats, then you are simply going to get fat or unhealthy. I was eating vegan and was still gaining weight.  Fat calorie percentages are the key for any eating type when it comes to losing weight!

If you want to figure the fat calorie percentage in your food, all you need is the total fat grams, calories and that's it!  Here is the fat calorie formula:
 

grams x 9 = n; n divided by calories = fat calorie percentage

Example: 1 oz. of cheese has 9 fat grams and 106 calories.
9 x 9 = 81
81 divided by 106 = 76% fat calories


Example: 1 tbsp of low fat sour cream has 1.7 fat grams and 22 calories
1.7 x 9 = 15.7
15.7 divided by 22 = 69% fat calories

Example: 1 cup cooked brown rice has 1.2 fat grams and 212 calories
1.2 x 9 =
10.8
10.8 divided by 212 = 5% fat calories
