Celery, The Magic Cure All: 20 Health Benefits

You may have noticed the celery juice fad, but why are "health nuts" stocking their refrigerator shelves with this vegetable? Like others, I was told drinking 2 cups of celery juice would help with almost every ailment out there.   I wanted to find out for myself and so I did.
After listening to Anthony Williams, the medical medium guy who is behind drinking celery juice, I bought 6 stocks of celery and got out my old Champion juicer and started juicing.  I soon realized this was not the juicer for juicing celery and ended up purchasing a fast, centrifugal juicer.  I was very happy at the speed and juice quality and used this for several months until I was introduced to a slow, masticating juicer which I still use to this day.  It definitely tops them all!
.....anyways, back to the point!  
Without reading Anthony Williams books, which I highly recommend, I started juicing celery.  I had heard stories of how it helped people and destroys pathogens in our bodies and pulls them out in a healthy way.....this intrigued me.   I also heard it pulls heavy metals out of the brain and liver.  This intrigued me even more.
.....and so I began my celery juicing experiment!

Not only did I juice for me, but I juiced for my husband Paul and our 4 kids.  Paul helps with the juicing every morning and together we have a unified health goal.....and yes, it is easier to juice when you have support.......but, if you don't have a juicing buddy, relax....you can still juice celery! 

You may be wondering how much celery we buy every month, but I'll leave that to the end!
....and yes, we juice a lot of celery every morning!  

Before I started juicing celery, my feet were getting arthritic and my energy was slightly lower than I wanted.  I also had a little belly pouch, but other than the cyst on my liver, my health has been pretty good!  (My cyst developed over 6 years ago after getting theWest Nile in 2018).....still working on shrinking it and seeing some results.

Anthony Williams recommends adults drink 2 to 4 cups a day, depending on a persons health.  I started with 16 oz.  If you are considering drinking celery, you may want to start with 1 cup and work your way to 2 cups.  I highly recommend this! 

.........after juicing for 2 weeks, all the arthritic feeling in my feet and ankles were gone and still are to this day!  Yay!  This was exciting news.  I also noticed my skin had a healthier glow and my wrinkles were less visible, so I knew it was improving my overall health. 

My belly is flatter and I have a great amount of energy and wake up in the morning feeling refreshed!   
I noticed my kids were able to get up in the mornings earlier and easier.....even my teenage kids....and it helped my daughter and son's acne breakouts! 
Paul noticed more energy and less seasonal allergies.  (he has suffered for over 20 years).    
I also noticed I had less sugar and chocolate cravings......one of the best reasons to drink celery juice.

​You may be wondering if it caused weight loss........I did notice it took off a few belly pounds, but it took a few months for this to take effect.  I am already fit and slim, and have very little weight to shed.

After 8 weeks of drinking celery juice, my energy improved.  I did feel some detox symptoms during those 8 weeks, but will save that for another blog post. Detox is also explained in "Liver Rescue", by Anthony Williams. 
  
I have now been drinking 2 cups of celery juice every morning for 8 months and plan on keeping this in my lifestyle.  I love my daily energy from this "cure all" drink and recommend reading "Celery Juice" by Anthony William.

Ok!  We spend a lot on celery every month, but the benefits outweigh the "burned wallet".  We juice about 2.5 huge celery stocks every day and each celery ends up costing between $0.85-$1.89 each.  On average we spend about $3.00 every day on celery, so about $90-$100 every month depending on the cost of the celery.  
Tip: If you buy a box of 24 celery unwrapped, you will get the "largest bang for your $buck!"  We store our 24 celery in our extra refrigerator.
