Try this delicious low fat calorie blueberry yogurt made from fresh blueberries, bananas, silken tofu and agave!  Eating yogurt made from dairy is not only full of cholesterol, but it is extremely mucous forming.  There are definitely a lot more alternatives than eating yogurt made from dairy milk. 

Blueberries and weight loss?  Catechins which are found in blueberries actually activate fat burning genes particularly in the belly and abdominal area.  Regularly eating these catechins, according to Tufts University, increases abdominal fat loss by 77% and double total weight loss!

This blueberry yogurt is full of antioxidants coming from the blueberries which help the eyes in many ways.  Blueberries can improve nighttime vision, promote quicker adjustment to darkness and promote faster restoration of visual clarity after exposure to glare.

aboratory studies show a diet including blueberries may improve motor skills and reverse the short-term memory loss that comes with aging or age-related diseases such as Alzheimer’s, according to the USDA Human Nutrition Research Center.  Blueberries also help reduce the risk of infection, according to researchers.  

So I say...eat lots of blueberries!


Blueberry Banana Yogurt

2.70 fat grams, 210 calories = 11% fat calories
Serves: 1 

1 banana
1/4 cup blueberries, fresh or frozen
1/2 cup silken tofu
4-8 drops liquid stevia or 1 tsp agave

Blend the ingredients in a blender until smooth.  Pour in a chilled container and serve with a few blueberries on top!
To Make
Frozen Yogurt:
Blend in a blender until smooth and freeze in a small container or popsicle container until frozen.
